Molly Greene joined The Royal Frog Ballet a few years ago stubbornly insisting that she was exclusively a visual artist. Through her collaborations she has since rediscovered a love of creative writing and a newfound penchant for performance (a dance piece this year!). She has just carved out a new nest for herself in New Haven, Connecticut after many months of walking around the deserts, mountains, lakes, and lava flows of the Western United States. In her new state of settled-ness she is reflecting on her meanderings and thinking a lot about glaciers, vacancy, apocalypse, banality, loss, mourning, consumption, animals, energy vortices, ice cores, and lichen. She's currently working on a series of prints of people, bears and wolves (below). Molly paints, makes prints, fabric art, and writes, all of which can be viewed at her website.
